Opera — the logo

Opera was developed from 1994 within Norwegian telecom operator Telenor by Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner and Geir Ivarsøy, before spinning off as the independent company Opera Software AS, founded in 1995 in Oslo. The browser has historically been noted for pioneering features such as tabbed browsing and Opera Mini for mobile devices. In 2015 the company adopted a new logo — a three-dimensional red "O" — which constitutes its current visual identity.
