Pinterest — the logo

Pinterest is a visual social network founded in March 2010 by Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra, and Evan Sharp, headquartered in San Francisco. The platform allows users to "pin" images to themed boards, which inspired the name. The current logo features a stylized "P" resembling a pin on a red background; since 2016 it has been paired with a wordmark set in a customised Neue Haas Grotesk typeface.
