Reddit — the logo

Reddit is a social news and discussion platform founded in 2005 by Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian, later acquired by Condé Nast in 2006. Its mascot, a white alien with orange-red eyes named Snoo, was doodled by Alexis Ohanian in 2005 while he was in a marketing class at the University of Virginia. The name "Snoo" derives from a play on "What's new?", tying the mascot to Reddit's identity as the "front page of the Internet".
