Under Armour is an American sportswear brand founded on September 25, 1996, by Kevin Plank from his grandmother's basement in Washington D.C. The iconic "UA" logo — two interlocking letters forming a shield shape — was sketched by Plank himself at the company's founding and has remained virtually unchanged since. The brand built its identity on synthetic performance fabrics.
