Facebook — the logo

Facebook is an American social network launched on February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard associates, renamed from "TheFacebook" to Facebook in August 2005. Its parent company became Meta Platforms in 2021. The wordmark set in a customised version of the Klavika typeface, adapted by design firm Cuban Council in 2005, is rendered in blue — a colour Zuckerberg chose because he is red-green colour blind.
