Twitch is an American live-streaming platform launched in June 2011 as a spin-off of Justin.tv, and acquired by Amazon in August 2014 for $970 million. Originally focused on video games, it has expanded to music, sports, and creative content. On September 26, 2019, Twitch unveiled a refreshed logo featuring a lowercase wordmark in a distinctive light purple, which has since become the brand's signature colour.
