Google — the logo

Google LLC is an American technology company founded in 1998 in California by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, originating as a university search engine project. The long-standing Catull-typeface logo designed by Ruth Kedar in 1999 was replaced in September 2015 by a modern geometric sans-serif wordmark called Product Sans, designed in-house at Google. The rebrand was aimed at adapting the identity to a multi-screen era.
