Intel — the logo

Intel was founded on 18 July 1968 in California by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce, both former Fairchild Semiconductor engineers, and pioneered the microprocessor with the 4004 in 1971. The original logo, featuring a distinctive dropped-e in the word "intel", was designed by the founders themselves in 1968 and remained central to the brand identity for over five decades.
