Nokia — the logo

Nokia was founded on 12 May 1865 in Finland by Fredrik Idestam as a pulp mill on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids. The company diversified progressively into telecommunications, becoming the world's leading mobile phone manufacturer during the 1990s-2000s. The iconic blue wordmark — "NOKIA" in a dark blue sans-serif typeface — was introduced in 1978 and remained the brand's primary visual identity for over forty years.
