Porsche is a German sports car manufacturer founded on 25 April 1931 in Stuttgart by Ferdinand Porsche. The company crest, commissioned by Ferry Porsche and drawn by designer Franz Xaver Reimspieß, combines the rearing horse from the Stuttgart coat of arms with the antlers and stripes of the Württemberg-Hohenzollern arms. It debuted on the steering-wheel hub of the 356 in 1952 and has been featured on the hood since 1954.
