Qualcomm — the logo

Qualcomm is an American semiconductor and wireless telecommunications company founded on 1 July 1985 in San Diego by Irwin Jacobs and six co-founders. Its name, a portmanteau of "Quality Communications", reflects its origins in CDMA wireless technology and its later expansion into mobile Snapdragon processors. The current logo, featuring a stylised Q in Qualcomm Blue, was redesigned in 2018 by the agency Interbrand.
