Lidl — the logo

Lidl is a German discount supermarket chain founded in 1973 in Ludwigshafen by Dieter Schwarz, modelled on rival Aldi. The Lidl name was purchased from Ludwig Lidl, a retired teacher. The logo — a circular emblem with a blue ring, red inner circle and yellow wordmark — underwent a significant update in 2016 as the chain expanded internationally.
