N26 — the logo

N26 is a German neobank founded in Berlin in 2013 by Austrian entrepreneurs Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal. The company was originally named Number26 before rebranding to N26 in July 2016 upon receiving its banking licence from German regulator BaFin. The current logo, introduced with that 2016 rebrand, derives the letter "N" from the outline shape of a smartphone screen.
