KLM — the logo

KLM (Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij) is the Dutch flag carrier, founded on 7 October 1919 and the world's oldest airline still operating under its original name. The first logo, created in 1919 by Dirk Roosenburg, intertwined the letters K, L and M beneath a royal crown. In 1963, British designer F.H.K. Henrion redesigned the identity, retaining the stylised crown against a cobalt-blue background.
