Mazda — the logo

Mazda is a Japanese carmaker founded on 30 January 1920 in Hiroshima as Toyo Cork Kogyo Co. by Jujiro Matsuda. The Mazda name references Ahura Mazda, the Zoroastrian deity of wisdom and harmony. The current logo, introduced in 1997, features a stylised V-shape evoking spread wings inside an oval, designed to serve as both a corporate brand symbol and a vehicle badge.
