Puma — the logo

Puma is a German sportswear brand founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler in Herzogenaurach, after his split from his brother Adolf, who founded Adidas. Rudolf initially registered the company as "Ruda" before renaming it Puma. The leaping cat logo was registered alongside the brand name in 1948 and has remained the core visual identity of the company ever since.
