Samsung — the logo

Samsung ('Three Stars' in Korean) is a South Korean conglomerate founded on 1 March 1938 by Lee Byung-chul in Daegu as a trading company. Its flagship subsidiary, Samsung Electronics, was established in 1969 and became a global leader in smartphones, display panels, and semiconductors. In 1993, the group retired its historic three-star emblem in favour of a unified logotype designed by Lippincott, which has remained essentially unchanged since.
