Škoda — the logo

Škoda Auto is a Czech carmaker tracing its origins to 1895, when Laurin & Klement was founded as a bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer before entering automotive production in 1905. The brand joined the Volkswagen Group in 1991. Its emblem — a winged arrow inside a circle — was registered as a trademark on 15 December 1923; the concept is attributed to Tomáš Maglič, then commercial director.
