Subaru — the logo

Subaru is a Japanese automaker born from the merger of several firms into Fuji Heavy Industries in 1953. Its name is the Japanese word for the Pleiades star cluster, which the logo depicts directly: six stylised stars in an oval, five smaller ones and one larger, representing the founding entities. The badge has retained this motif since 1953.
