Air France — the logo

Air France is the French national airline, created on 30 August 1933 by the merger of five airlines. From 1933 it adopted the winged seahorse (hippocampe ailé, designed by architect Joseph Marrast) as its emblem, used until the 1970s. Since 7 January 2009 the official logo is a stylised red stripe alongside the company name.
