British Airways — the logo

British Airways is the UK's national flag carrier, formed on 31 March 1974 from the merger of BOAC and BEA. Its current visual identity, introduced in 1997 and designed by Newell & Sorrell, features a stylised red and blue wave evoking the Union Jack on aircraft tail fins. An earlier landmark identity had been created by Landor Associates in 1984.
