Citroën — the logo

Citroën was founded on 4 June 1919 by André Citroën. Its double-chevron logo references the herringbone helical gear design whose patent Citroën had acquired in Poland before entering the car industry. In 2022, the brand unveiled a new logo by Citroën's in-house design team and Stellantis Design Studio, reintroducing the original 1919 oval around the chevrons to signal the brand's transition to electric vehicles.
